Wayne Dyer was a world renowned self development author and speaker who passed away August 30,2015.
From spending his childhood in orphanages and foster homes in Detroit he has now authored over 25 books such as Change Your Thoughts Change Your Life and Manifest Your Destiny.
He been featured on numerous television programs such as The Merv Griffin Show and The Tonight Show, and in various forms of media throughout the world.
Although not considered a law of attraction teacher exclusively, many of his books and seminars deal with the notion of our thoughts and feeling states creating our lives.
“All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change you. The only thing blame does is to keep the focus off you when you are looking for external reasons to explain your unhappiness or frustration. You may succeed in making another feel guilty about something by blaming him, but you won't succeed in changing whatever it is about you that is making you unhappy.”
Below is a short video of Wayne, talking with Oprah Winfrey on the Art of Manifestation, which he says is actually very different to how many people perceive the law of attraction and how it works.
" You have to be in alignment with your source, with God, you have to stay connected.
All of us have within us this amazing capacity to attract and manifest anything we want into our life.
But I will attract what I am, not what I want.
That's the difference with the law of attraction, you get what you are rather than what you want.
Your original nature is reverance for all of life, gentleness, kindness and service towards others.
My mission is to teach people that you are love, you are divine.
Put that into your imagination...
' I am well '
' I am happy '
' I am content '
' I am fulfilled '
Even if your senses tell you that you're depressed, you don't say ' I am depressed ' because if you say that then you connect with depression.
By placing into your imagination what you want and assuming the feeling of that wish as already fulfilled, you go through your life feeling that, when enough of us do that, we will transform this planet."
